BACCHANAL DAYBED
STEPPE INTO THE FORUM
BACCHANALIA

This daybed features unconventionality with its thin raw steel leg plate, comfortability with its pillow top bench seat cushion, and sensuality with its tassels made up of thin threads of rope.
Roman Forums, the Limestone Reliefs of the Pantheon, and the open-minded sensuality of Pompeii inspire the Bacchanal Daybed.

Foro Romano or Roman Forums are rectangular and are typically surrounded by government buildings, over time these have become squares for gathering; Much like a drawing room or modern living room today. The goal of the design of this daybed was to inspire gathering and conversation.

Around 200 BC Rome started to have popular Bacchanalia to celebrate the deity Bacchus. These events would typically have guests of all social classes and both sexes equally; thus our Bacchanal Daybed was designed intentionally to be both masculine and feminine.
